Terms of Service
Last updated: February 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Nebula (the "Software") or Nebula Cloud (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Software or Service.
2. License
The Nebula desktop application is open-source software released under the MIT License. You are free to use, modify, and distribute the software in accordance with the MIT License terms. Nebula Cloud is a hosted service and is subject to these additional terms.
3. Your Content
You retain full ownership of all content you create using Nebula. We do not claim any rights to your manuscripts, notes, or other creative works. When using Nebula Cloud, your content is stored securely and is accessible only by you and anyone you explicitly choose to share it with.
4. Nebula Cloud
Nebula Cloud is billed on a monthly basis only for months in which you actively use the service. You may cancel at any time without penalty. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to maintain service availability, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your work.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Nebula Cloud to store or transmit content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others. You agree not to attempt to circumvent security measures, overload infrastructure, or interfere with other users' access to the service.
6. Limitation of Liability
The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. In no event shall the Nebula Project or its contributors be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the Software or Service. You are responsible for maintaining local backups of your work.
7. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Software or Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. For questions, contact hello@example.com.
